Because I haven’t poked a stick at the Global Warming crowd in a while and I don’t have a biodegradeable accellerant

A Very British Dude has a reasonably well-written piece about carbon neutrality today.  It’s worth a read, but I especially like this bit:

Because hysteria
is what it is. In the 17th century it was witches. (Burn them) Now it
is SUV drivers (Burn them, but only if you offset the carbon and use a
biodegradable accelerant).

Strangely enough, I seem to be swimming in this stuff today.

A bit from the Heartland Institute which quotes Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK)

A link to a bit of David Deming’s testimony before the Senate Environment and Public Works committee in which he describes being told by a climate change researcher that “We have to get rid of the Medieval Warm Period.”  (You know, that inconvenient period about a thousand years ago where the climate was so warm that they grew grain in Iceland and there was a wine industry in England?)

And, strangely enough, a link to the policy statement on energy of the Liberal Democrat party of Australia.  (A group I would join if I was “down under.”  You might take a minute and look at their other policy statements, including the one on smoking.)

Right.  Well, I need to stop this nonsense now and go shovel my walk and chip half an inch of global warming-induced ice off my truck so I can run some errands.  Now that it’s warmed up to 15 F.
