An added bonus

I picked up a new firearm today.  Details aren’t necessarily important.  I’ve been saving a bit here and there for almost 2 years to be able to do this, and I finally got it.  I know this is kind of perverse, but when I got it home, I noticed there is a sticker on the case that just makes the whole thing sweeter:

sticker on gun case

wasn’t planning to go anyway…

LOL, why is not legal in Cali? My friend Christine and I are curious.

Because its not on the approved guns list. In theory only guns determined to be safe are permitted. In reality, (if I understand it correctly) each gun manufacturer has to pay a fee to have each model of gun they want to sell in California “tested”. Springfield Armory specializes in multiple variations of each of their models, each variation of which would require a fee. From what I’ve read they decided it wasn’t worth paying the fee for each an every model they sell.

In any other context, this would be called what it appears to be: requiring a company to pay a bribe to do business.
